“ What a beautiful restaurant with delicious food. We had a reservation for 8 and honestly would recommend a reservation because this place filled up around 7 pm on a Thursday night. This was pretty fancy restaurant which upscale foods/prices. These are all the dishes I tried out. Mango Lasi - A standard small lasi but it was good. Refreshing and comforting especially if you order something spicy. Tasty. (4.5/5) Pani Puri - Always fun to eat this and it's so refreshing. Can't say this was any different than any other pani puri I've had but its good. Comes out in a cool wagon. (4/5) Sloppy Khans - I liked this. Overall taste was good and kind of reminded me of a sloppy joe. Great appetizer (4.5/5) Garlic/Malai Naan - Both are delicious. I personally like the Malai a bit more but you won't go wrong and this is a must get. (5/5) Classic Chicken Curry - This almost tasted like spaghetti sauce. It was good overall, but I like the other curry I got better. (4/5) Shrimp Masala Curry - Oh so creamy but so good. Shrimp was on the harder side but the flavors on the dish was good. (4.5/5) Smoked Beef Kebab - This comes smoky in a glass container which makes for a great video. Flavors were delicious and you do get a taste of the smoke they add. Winner. (5/5) Afghani Seekh Kebab - Loved this, perfectly seasoned and great texture. Also Winner. (5/5) Overall it's a bit pricey but ambiance and food are top notch. It's a dark room and quite noisy FYI so expect that type of vibe. For 8 people we spent $352 (tip included which was 18% for larger parties). We all left full and had small amounts of curry leftover. Totally worth checking out. ”
“ When we stumbled upon Khan Saab which turned out to be a #michelinguide #bibgourmand winner (several years) ...I don't remember exactly what we ordered just that all of it was delicious. And the cutting chai was an experience in itself! ”
“ Khan Saab is an elevated Pakistani experience for sure. It's really interesting to see the contemporary take on Pakistani classics like soda or bihari kababs and pani puri. The modernist take on the interior was also nice to see as well and made for a great dining experience. Service here is also top notch. I will say to not expect the same type of flavor as you would get at a more traditional Pakistani restaurant because this restaurant is primarily conceptual in application of Pakistani cuisine! Bun kababs - 7/10 a little too greasy but amazing flavor biryani - 7/10 great flavor but rice was a bit soft Bihari kababs - 9/10 amazing beautiful wonderful drinks - amazing!! I forgot the name of mine but it was like a dirty sprite ! This place is really nice to celebrate a special occasion and is unique to orange county! ”
“ Came to Khan Saab with a bunch of friends and we had a great time over some truly tasty food. We started with drinks. The nonalcoholic menu was interesting and combined a lot of herbaceous or floral notes but you have the option of adding a shot if you want. Fair warning, the shot, very much warrants its $2 tag. It's basically water. Soon enough, food started coming out and some dishes were truly excellent! I particularly enjoyed the pani puri, the chicken karahi, and the smoked beef kabobs. I also liked the traditional presentation of the biryani and the classically good butter chicken. Some that missed the mark for me included the chicken 65 which reminded me of sweet and sour chicken and afghani seekh kabobs which was a little dry. The naan here is tasty and was particularly good for the chicken karahi but unfortunately it was delivered a little burnt. Overall, I still enjoyed our meal and would recommend anyone in Fullerton to give it a try! ”
“ Very good food! Fun place to come with friends and try different things together. It's also fun that they have mocktails. We got lots of different things and shared them family style. The highlights for me: - butter chicken (would recommend 10/10) - spinach paneer - garlic naan - rice Other things that were good: - Lentils - Shrimp curry - Mocktail with elderberry and cucumber Things I thought were decent, maybe I'd skip in the future: - Beef & lamb kebabs We had a reservation that my friend had made, and from what I could tell it all went smoothly. We had a nice setup and a good server. Very friendly and gave good suggestions. The location is very random for Fullerton but it is what it is! Not the nicest area. I actually used to live in the apartment upstairs when Khan Saab first came in. Didn't realize it was so quality! During Covid, they used to give out free rice and lentils on Fridays--classy move. ”
“ True comfort food! Lamb Rogan Josh was so rich with flavor and just enough spice! I can't decide which combo was better the lamb with the rice or the garlic naan! Just order both! Though it was a lot for one person, you can have leftovers! :) I love to try different cuisines and cultural foods, thus I tried the Pani Puri. Though it was not something I enjoy, each person is different. The service however was phenomenal. Every staff member was attentive and checking in. I dined on a week day evening. Calmdinner ambiance. ”
“ Really amazing atmosphere that is great for groups as well as dates! Great service and great presentation on the foods! Got the: - pani puri app: 7.5/10, 4x puff pastries on top of shot glasses of some sour/spicy sauce. We didn't get any explanation when they dropped it off, so we assumed to pour it all into the puff pastry and then pop it in our mouths. We regretted it instantly and tried to pour half for the next puff pastry but still thought it was too much. We noticed a large Indian group also didn't touch some of their pani puri, so I guess it wasn't just us. Probably the only thing we won't order again - sloppy Kahn: 10/10, like a sloppy Joe, but with chopped keema wagyu beef with onions. Delicious! - goat cheese Kulcha with butter sauce: 10/10, beware that it is VERY gamey as they give a GENEROUS amount of goat cheese. I suspect that the butter sauce is from their butter chicken- it's delicious and helps cut the gaminess of the goat cheese - Smoked Beef: 10/10, amazing presentation and even more amazing smoky taste and smell. Took leftovers home and it was still smoky the next day! - lamb karahi: 9/10, the server told us you can sub the protein in the chicken karahi for lamb or beef and recommended lamb, and we were not disappointed! It would've been a 10/10 or there were more pieces of lamb and we weren't told there would be a $4 lamb surcharge. We'll just order the chicken karahi next time - Garlic naan: 10/10, you can tell this was cooked in a real tandoori oven, it's the crispiest garlic naan I've ever had (and I've had close to 100 now) Parking: - some street parking - also some parking spaces in the apartment parking reserved for "retail" Bathroom: 2 clean unisex bathrooms ”
“ I was very excited to visit this Michelin-starred restaurant because the food looked incredible. I wanted to try Afghan food, and this was the closest I could get. It was so delicious!!! Every single dish that was ordered was incredible. On arrival, we were checked in to our reservation and seated promptly. The restaurant was so cute inside. It was dim, and it gave you a little bit of that romantic feeling, which was the perfect touch for a date night. It just set the tone for a great evening. The service was top-notch. Our waitress was on it. She was very kind and gave wonderful recommendations. Items ordered: Goat cheese, stuffed naan 100/10 Smoked beef kebab 10/10 Butter chicken 10/10 Sloppy Khan 100/10 Chicken 65 100/10 Faloodah 10/10 Shahi Gulab Jamun 10/10 Order them all. You're welcome. Xoxo ”
“ This is a very small cute place! Love the ambiance, just no alcohol. The non alcoholic drinks are not impressive either. The food, on the other hand... loved the paneer, the pani puri was good as well... very tasty, spicy all the right flavors. I was not a big fan of chocolate samosa. It's a twist but not tasty... the two for me just don't do justice.... It's a very bad attempt on a crepe but indian style. The raasmali was not too bad, not over sweet but has a strong essence of rose and I am not a big fan of it! ... The service was great. We didn't have to wait too long for food and everything came on time. Overall a cute little place, must make reservations over the weekend as it gets really crowded. ”
